Direct Sound's EX-29 Extreme Isolation Headphones were designed by well
known Los Angeles studio session drummer John Gresko for drummers, sound
engineers and musicians requiring detailed monitoring of the source
material but without all the unwanted extraneous noise of the room,
studio or venue. They deliver a no compromise solution for the two
common problems faced in audio monitoring, keeping loud or annoying
sounds out of the headphones and in recording applications keeping
sounds from the headphones bleeding into the mics.
The unique design of the EX29's seperates the engineer, singer and
musician from unwanted room sounds, is great for drummers or guitarists
who want to hear the studio mix or backing track without interference
from their loud kit or amplifier and for singers wanting to hear more of
their voice in the microphone,
What makes them extreme? They utilize specially designed earmuffs that
passively attenuate surrounding sound by 29db and custom fitted
high-quality, speaker assembly. Because of the extreme surrounding sound
isolation, it is only necessary to use the headphones at medium to low
volume resulting in less ear fatigue and less risk of hearing defects.
Are they comfortable? The Extreme Isolation Headphones have the most
lightweight, comfortable ear muffs ever designed, and can be worn for
long periods without fatigue. They do not use a single, heavy-coiled
cord, because it tends to interfere with your ease of movement and could
cause discomfort.
