£816.62 including VAT

Following the huge success of the the DRS-2 Mic-Pre/DI, and by popular request, Phoenix have now released a single channel version called (not surprisingly) the DRS-1. The DRS-1 has the same specs. and uses the same circuitry as it's big brother, but is a MONO unit. The DRS-1 is a half-rack space width, 1U, unit, and can be desk-top mounted, 19" rack mounted singly (with optional 19", 1U panel), or can be easily bolted to a second DRS-1 (with optional mounting kit) to make a stereo 1U 19" unit.

Specifications:

Stereo 1U unit: With 240V/110V mains voltage input selector switch
Class A Output
Outputs: XLR's and TSR 1/4" Jack on rear
Phoenix Audio’s unique Class A, transformerless, True balanced Mic input stage
Microphone inputs: XLR's on Front and Rear Panels
Individual Earth Lift: Push-button switch

The DRS-2 Mic-Pre/DI is the latest of our products to be released. It uses our well proven and loved Class A output stage, but also has our latest breakthrough in transformerless Class A, Discrete Mic Input Technology which gives a 'valve-like' sound. It also incorporates our high input impedance DI circuitry.

NICE DI
£395.00 excluding VAT
£464.12 including VAT

The Class A, all discrete DI has been tested and used by many guitar professionals in studio recording environments, and the comments are always the same... The overdrive is fantastic, the guitar sounds clean, clear, and unrestrained. This is the definitive DI.

Class A Stereo DI Output Specifications:

Gain range : 0dB minimum to +40dB maximum
Frequency Response: 20Hz to 20Khz +/- 0.5dB
Maximum Output: +26dBu @ 1Khz
Noise: –90dB @ 22Hz to 22KHz
Advantages: The Class A DI has a very high input impedance (10Mohm), without the use of FET's. This means that the guitar pickups are not loaded as with a lower impedance input, and so allows every transient to be reproduced, making even a cheap guitar sound exceptional.
Inputs: 1/4" jack (TS) input on the front panel
Output configuration: Transformer isolated, balanced output (XLR) on the rear panel and a 1/4" jack (TS) unbalanced output on the front panel.

Other features:

Stereo Unit with independent gain control, mains operated, switchable input voltage (110/220Vac)
The result is a brighter, clearer sound. A transformation of your instrument. And a STEREO unit for th price of many mono units
Key Features Class A all discrete circuitry in a stereo unit
Compatability Industry standard Balanced XLR outputs
Benefits Brighter, Clearer Sound

NICERIZER
£1695.00 excluding VAT
£1991.62 including VAT

Following the HUGE success of the the DRS-1 and DRS-2 Mic-Pre/DI, Phoenix Audio (UK) have now released the 'Nicerizer'... The Nicerizer was originally conceived because of the demand from customers for something that would 'sweeten' the output from ProTools, and to make the final mix easier to distribute and handle.

The Nicerizer is designed to take the output out of the digital realm, and to add the Class A characteristics and feel before the final recording.

The Nicerizer is a 2U 19" rack mount, linkable, 8 channel unit, that can be stacked and linked in any multiple and various configurations to give high quality, line-level, Class A, discrete buffering.

Applications range from 'digital sweetening' to source routing, from studio to stadium.

Specifications:

2U - 19" Rack-mount unit with in-built power supply, switchable between 110/240V AC
8 channels of our famous Class A, discrete, truly balanced transformerless input
8 channels of our New DS-OP2 Class A, discrete, transformer balanced output
Individual level control for each channel
8 x Balanced XLR Inputs
8 x Balanced XLR Outputs
2 x mix busses (linkable to each other and other units)
2 x individual mix bus output level controls with 10dB 'in hand'
LED level monitoring switchable for each channel
Separate Headphone monitoring switchable to each channel, plus an additional headphone jack for monitoring the A and B mix outputs
In addition to the 8 individual outputs, channels 1 - 4 and 5 -8 feed two individual mix busses that have independent line level outputs
4 sockets on the rear of the unit provide access to the mix bus inputs and outputs to allow very versatile stacking, and linking to further units and to itself
Independent balanced mix output available on XLR's
Huge headroom available on all channels

If the Nicerizer is used as 8 channels of individual buffer amp the faders have up to 14dB of level "in hand"

As a distribution amp. The inputs can be linked as required. If 1-4, and 5-8 (or 1-8) are linked, then two extra outputs are available for further distribution. (IE: 1 input with 10 outputs, or 2 inputs with 5 outputs each).

As a mixer. Channels 1-4 and 5-8 mix down to A and B Outputs. There are balanced TRS connections in and Balanced XLR outputs. In this configuration the input faders have at least 6dB "in hand", and the output faders have 10dB available "in hand".

Stacking the units. The units have 4 sockets providing access to the A and B input and output on the busses. This also allows local A to B or B to A mix.

Frequency Response: Line Input Stage: -0.4dB @ 40Hz, -0.3dB @ 35kHz
Frequency Response: DS-OP2 Output Stage: -0.3dB @ 40Hz, - 0.4dB @ 25kHz
Maximum Input level: +24dB
Maximum Output level: +26dB
